Nepal has a population of 26.4 million and is the 93rd largest country by its Area. Nepal is bordered by China in the north and India in the south, east, and west.

Nepal has its unique Geographical position and latitudinal variation ,diverse geography, including fertile plains, subalpine forested hills, and eight of the world's ten tallest mountains, including Kechanakal,Jhapa(60m) the lowest point to Mount Everest(8848m) the highest point from the sea level on Earth. Kathmandu is the nation's capital and largest city. Nepal is second richest country in Water Resources. Nepal is also known as the country with unique flag.

Nepal is the predominant religion of the country i.e. Hinduism. On the other hand, Gautama Buddha the founder of Buddhism, was born in Nepal. Nepal is a multiethnic nation and Nepali as the official language. The Kathmandu Valley in central Nepal became known as Nepal proper because of its complex urban civilization.

Modern Nepal is a federal secular parliamentary republic. It has seven states. Nepal is a developing nation, ranking 144th on the Human Development Index (HDI).  Nepal hosts the permanent secretariat of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), of which it is a founding member.

Nepal is rich in natural beauty and resources. It is rich in religious and historical heritages. Lumbini, Gorkha, Janakpur, Kathmandu are the famous examples. The major religion in Nepal is Hinduism, and the Pashupatinath Temple, the world's largest temple of Shiva, located in Kathmandu, Lord shiva statue (143 Ft) attracts many pilgrims and tourists. Other Hindu pilgrimage sites include the temple complex in Swargadwari ,Janaki Mandir in Janakpurdham in Mithila region; Lake Gosainkunda, Devghat, Manakamana temple, Pathibhara,etc. 

Buddhism is the largest minority religion. The World Heritage site at Lumbini, which is traditionally considered as the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, is an important pilgrimage site. Another prominent Buddhist site is Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, in Kathmandu.

Nepal is a country of highly diverse and rich geography, culture, and religions. The mountainous north has eight of the world's ten highest mountains, including the highest, Sagarmatha, known in English as Mount Everest. The fertile and humid south is heavily urbanized. It contains over 240 peaks more than 20,000 ft. (6,096 m) above sea.

People of many    castes and religions leave here. About hundred languages are spoken. Nepal’s popular foods are dal bhat, dhindo, gundurk etc. Dashain, tihar, losar, Id etc. are the most popular festivals. 

Most of the people are farmers. They grow rice, corn, wheat, millet, barley, potato etc. Nepal is small but rich in natural resources.

Nepal have monsoon climate. It is very cold and dry in winter and hot, stormy and rainy in summer .Nepal has four major seasons. Nepal can be visited whole year. What are needed to get a Visa?

The Visa policy of Nepal is relatively liberal, allowing citizens of almost all nations given a tourist visa on arrival at the immigration entry point of Nepal. The valid passport and one passport size photo which is of light background.

 Nepal’s Visa can be obtained through payments only in the foreign currencies like: US dollar, European Euro, UK Pound sterling, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, Saudi Arabian Riyal, Qatari Riyal, Thai Bat, Malaysian Ringgit, UAE Dirham, South Korean Won, Swedish Kroner, Danish Kroner, Hong Kong dollar, Kuwaiti Dinar, Bahrain Dinar, and Indian Rupees.

The international Credit Card is also accepted for the payment of visa Fee.

 Tourist Visa:

 For the tourist visa on multiple entry of 15 days duration it will cost USD$25 or equivalent convertible currency.

 For the tourist visa on multiple entry of 30 days duration it will cost USD$40 or equivalent convertible currency.

 For the tourist visa on multiple entry of 90 days duration it will cost USD$100 or equivalent convertible currency.

Free Visa:

 For first visa in one visa year (Jan-Dec), free visa for 30 days is only available for nation of South Asian Countries (SAARC) like: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. As well, Visa can be extended from the Immigration Department on payment of visa fee as specified above in tourist Visa.

 Indian Nationality only do not require visa to get entry into Nepal.

 For Chinese Nationality, Nepal provides the free visa.

However, Nationals of the following countries will not get visa on arrival at the immigration entry point of Nepal: Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Syira, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, and Afganisthan. They need to obtain visa from Nepalese Embassies or Diplomatic missions in their respective countries prior to their visit to Nepal.

For Indian Nationality:

 As per the rule of Nepalese Immigration an Indian Nationality travelling to Nepal should posses one of the following documents:

 Passport

 Driving license with photo

 Nationality

 Identity Card Issued by Government

 Election card with photo

 Ration Card with photo.

The major roadways transports of Nepal are Car, Bus/Coaches, Sutlez Truk, Moterbike,etc.The tourists travelling to Nepal by roadways/land must enter only through one of these following entry points:

 Nepal and India border: 

      Kakarbhitta,Birgunj,Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi and Mahendranagar.
