Nepal is a home of people with different religion, language, cast, festival and life style, that’s why it is rich in culture and religion. The culture and life style of people in Nepal is varied from place to place and from people to people. So we have lots of cultural resources in Nepal like temples, monuments, festivals, dresses and many more. Kathmandu capital city of Nepal is rich in culture as it is known as the city of temple. There are 7 places in Kathmandu that are listed in the world heritage sites within certain distance which have cultural importance; this shows that Kathmandu city is rich in cultural diversity. Nepal culture tour will be your friend for experiencing these cultures. Some of the famous places for Nepal cultural tour which have been enlisted in world heritage sites by UNESCO are:

Pasupatinath: Pasupatinath is the Hindu temple of god Shiva located in the banks of Bagmati Rivers and different temple with different style is found here. There are around 1000 Shivalingas in Pasupatinath areas.

Boudhanath: Boudhanath stupa is one of the biggest and oldest stupa of Nepal, located 7km east from the capital Kathmandu. It was constructed in 5th century and was listed in world heritage sites in 1979 A.D.

Swyambunath: Swyambunath is situated at the top of hill in Kathmandu, also known as the monkey temple (as many monkeys can be seen around this area). It is the perfect symbol of religious tolerance in Nepal that we can found both Hindu as well as Buddhist god in the temple premises. It is believe that it was constructed before 5th century.

Changunarayan temple: This temple is known as the oldest temple in Kathmandu valley, built before 5th  century. The pagoda style temple lies in Bhaktapur district 22km east from the Kathmandu valley and we can found inscription written in wood, metal and stone in this place which shows and give knowledge of history of Nepal.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square is also known as Hanumandhoka durbar square lies in the heart of Kathmandu city. Taleju temple, Musuem, House of kumari and kasthamandap are some of the heritage found in the durbar square premises.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square: This Durbar square have been enlisted in world heritage site on 1979A.D. It is believe that malla king of Bhaktapur have ruled around here in the ancient time. Fifty five window palaces, statue of Bhupatindra Malla, Nyatapole, National art gallery and Golden Gate are some of the cultural heritage in this area.

Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar square was also the palace of Malla king during medieval Nepal, lies in the lalitpur district. Bhimsen temple, Jagat Narayan temple, Kumbeswor Mahadev are some of the heritage along with the Krishna temple of 21 golden pinnacles (master piece of the malla art and architecture) in the durbar square.

Chitwan National Park: Chitwan National park is located in the chitwan District, 120 km far from the Kathmandu and is one of the most important tourist destinations in Nepal. The main attraction of national park is one horned rhino (endangered animal in world), along with Bengal tiger, crocodiles, and different species of birds. Some of the major activities on this national park are Elephant ride, Canoe ride, Jungle walk, Bird watching, Tharu Cultural Programme, Elephant Breeding Center, Tharu village tour and many more.

Lumbini: Lumbini is the birth of Lord Buddha and is the holy land for the Buddhist of the world; Lumbini was enlisted on world heritage sites on 1997 AD. The Ashoka pillar made by emperor Ashoka on 245 BC is also lies here. The Mayadevi temple and Puskarini Pond are the heritage around the temple premises. There are many monasteries and stupa made by different countries of the world such as China, Japan, Germany, France, Thailand, and Vietnam. So this place is for the peace lovers and followers of Buddhism along with different Buddhist monuments.

Pokhara: Pokhara is a beautiful city and a major tourism hub of Nepal, lies 200km west from the Kathmandu with the beautiful views of snow capped annpurna peaks. Phewa Lake in pokhara is famous for boating and refreshment along with many places around for sightseeing such as Davis fall, Peace Stupa, Bindabasini Temple and many more. Pokhara is the starting point of trekking for Mustang and Annapurna region, so it is a best place for relaxation before and after trek. Sarangkot a major hotspot for the paragliding lovers lies west from the Pokhara, where one can enjoy sunrise, sunset, paragliding with Spectacular view of mountain like Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Fishtail and Annapurna range and mountain people life style.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport

 After your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport the representatives of Life Himalaya will pick you up and bring you at the Hotel. After some refreshment our representative will help you to meet with the manager of Life Himalaya. You will also meet with the experienced and local guide of the tour and he/she will explain you about the tour.

Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Asan bazzar

 After having breakfast, you will meet with the tour guide. He/she will explain about the sightseeing of the day. You will visit the ancient royal palace (Kathmandu durbar Square) here you can observe the history of Nepali art and architecture, Kasthamandap (temple made of single tree), Kal bhairav temple, etc. After the visit to Kathmandu durbar square you will visit Swayambhunath” the monkey temple” which lies in the hillock at the middle of Kathmandu valley from where you can observe the view of whole Kathmandu valley and some mountains like Langtang, Shivapuri , Nagarjung etc. . You can also see many monkeys, many prayers, praying flags, monks, etc. It carries importance for both Hindus and Buddhists.  Both Kathmandu durbar square and Syawbhunath are enlisted in world heritage sites(WHO) by UNESCO.  You will also visit Asan bazar that day. It is the local market where you can find any kind of goods required.

Day 03: Tour to Boudhanath stupa, Patan durbar square and Pashupatinath.

On this day, after your breakfast you will visit to other world heritage sites like patan durbar square where you can find the richness of Nepali art and architecture, cultures and traditions of local people. Then after sometimes you will visit the biggest stupa of the world ‘Bouddhanath’. You can find many monks praying for peace near the stupa. After that you will go to the biggest Hindu temple ‘Pashupatinath’. You can see people coming to worship pashupatinath in huge number.  According to Hindu mythology, the body of a person is burned after death and many dead people’s body is brought here for cremation.

Day 04: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan (415m).

In the morning, you will drive about 4-5 hour from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park. After reaching at Chitwan you will have short refreshment then you will have jungle activities like jungle excursion with Elephant safari and cannoning at Rapti River. We also visit the elephant bathing and breeding center. You can also see the Ghariyals during cannoning and can also see the Ghariyal Breeding Centre.

Day 05: Full explore day, watch Tharu culture.

Today, you will see other things animals like Bengal Tiger, rhinoceros, spotted deer and many other wild animals and you will also do the bird watching in Chitwan National Park as there are about 543 species of bird at Chitwan National Park. You can observe the natural beauty of Terai region in Chitwan in the peaceful environment.

Day 06: After breakfast drive to Birth place of Lord Buddha Lumbini.

Today we will drive from Chitwan national park to birth place of Buddha, Lumbini. After refreshment you will do sight-seeing around the ancient markets, cultural and traditional markets, you can also see many monks in the birthplace of lord Gautam Buddha. You will also get the opportunity to visit Maya devi temple, Ashoka pillar and many other historical sites.

Day 07: Visiting holy place, meditating and relaxing the day.

Today after having breakfast we will visit holy place of Buddhism and birth place of light of Asia Buddha. We will see different types of the cultural and traditional objects, the history of the Buddhist culture history of Gautam Buddha. We will also attend meditation class. You will also visit Tilaurakot to reveal the history of Buddhism.

Day 08: Explore Lumbini

Today we will we will explore all Lumbini. We will visit different Buddhist monuments, monasteries, school of monks, and old stupas and different religious sites related to Buddihsts mythology having religious and cultural importance. You will get the chanc to see Myanmar Golden Temple, China temple, Lumbini museum and lot more things.

Day 09: Drive to Touristic paradise Pokhara (827m).

After breakfast we will drive(5-6hrs) to Pokhara from Lumbini. Pokhara is the gate way city of all the major routes like Annapurna base camp trek, Ghorepani Poonhill trek, Upper Mustang trek and may other trekking. We will sight-seeing around Pokhara and boating at Phewa Lake. We will climb a hill top after boating at Phewa lake which will lead us to Peace stupa. You can see the clear reflection of fishtail and Annapurna range in the Phewa lake and can observe the view of whole Pokhara city.

Day 10: Drive to Sarankot view point (1,592 m), afternoon fly to Kathmandu.

Drive early for Sarangkot from where you can see the magnificent Annapurna panorama, and the glimpse of the sunrise over it. After viewing the scenic views of Himalayas we will drive back to Pokhara and the fly to Kathmandu. After arriving at Kathmandu domestic airport we will drive about 1hr to Nagarkot (a hill station) from where we can see the range of our snow-capped mountains and relax. You can see local villages, agriculture, way of living, etc. In the evening you can see the rays of sun falling in the snow- capped mountains and the priceless sunset.

Day 11: Sightseeing at world heritage site Changunarayan and Bhaktapur durbar square.

In the early morning, you will go to the view tower to see the sunrise and its reflection on the beautiful Himalayas of Nepal and then you will have your breakfast.   After having the break-fast you will drive towards the oldest temple and the historical temple, Changunarayan Temple which is made in 4th century. After sightseeing around Changunarayan you will drive towards another historical and the large oldest royal palace Bhaktapur Durbar square. You will visit tallest temple Nyatapol and 55 windows royal palace at Bhaktapur which was made in 14th century. Late evening we’ll have farewell dinner at the most famous Nepali cultural restaurant.

Day 12: Depature

Representative of Life Himalaya will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport and you will return to your own destination after a memorable tour with Life himalya.
