Manaslu circuit trek is one of the spectacular trekking destinations in the Himalayan region of Nepal. Manaslu region has been considered to be one of the finest adventure destinations in Nepal for those trekkers who are looking for the lifetime experience. Manaslu circuit trek is situated on the west-central part and famous trekking region along the great Himalayan trail in Nepal. To trek around the base of the Manaslu is to trek perhaps the very best of all the ‘best kept secrets’ of the Nepalese Himalaya. Manaslu Circuit Trek is the most adventurous challenging treks which offers to get chance to seek the magnificent views world’s highest mountains including Mt. Manaslu, Shringi Himal, Himalchuli, Nagdi Chuli, Ganesh Himal II, Simnang Himal, Saula Himal, Cheo Hiamal, Himlung Himal and many other beautiful peaks.

Manaslu circuit trekking is a well-known and much loved trail by the trekkers in Nepal’s Himalayan landscapes. Manaslu circuit trek is regarded as one of the most remote and restricted area treks in the Himalaya of Nepal. Manaslu circuit trek needs extra permission and special permit to organize trekking in this region of Nepal. Manaslu Circuit Trek provides tea house along the trekking route, thus camping is not required unless one goes off track. The main attraction of Manaslu region are virginity of the trail including authentic Nepali, Tibetan culture and hospitality, influenced ethnic encounters, traditional cultures, breathtaking views of mountains, snow-capped peaks, Buddhist old monasteries, architecture, long ridges' valley, beautiful suspension bridges, gorge of Budi Gandaki, Larkya-La Pass (5,135m), dense forest of rhododendron and oak, abundant wildlife, waterfalls, glaciers, flora and fauna, natural landscape, etc. The best and supportive season to trek Manaslu Circuit is March-May and September-November. Trekkers can see the majestic view of both Manaslu and Annapurna region in this single trek as well interested trekkers can visit Tsum Valley for the Tibetan Buddhism cultural trek. The trek is moderate trek and doesn’t demand experiences and advanced physical fitness level to the traveler. 

Manaslu Circuit Trek journey usually begins by sight-seen of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Our journey starts with an exotic drive to Sotikhola via Arughat (Gorkha District) which approximately takes the full day from Kathmandu. Our trek begins from Sotikhola, passing through the George of the Budi-Gandaki River with the majestic view of Manaslu with a well-defined path unique landscape. We trek through villages named Machhakhola, Dobhan, Philim, Lokpa,and many other cultural villages. During the trek, we will be walking through long ridges' valley, dense forest of rhododendron and oak, and crossing many suspension bridges. After arriving at Deng, we can seek the appearances of snow peaks. Giving continuity to trekking, we reach to Namrung village where it’s popular as amazing viewpoint for Ganesh Himal and Mt. Himalchuli. After traveling through Lho village, we enter the Nupri region, inhabited primarily by Tibetan immigrants. The colorful prayer flags, old monasteries, life style are some iconic images of Tibetan culture and religious practice. Trekking a bit further, we arrive at the highest village in Budi-Gandaki valley; the Samagaon village. We acclimatize at Samagaun village and interested trekkers can explore to Birendra Tal, Pungyen Gompa as well as Manaslu Base Camp. Then we continue our trek, heading towards Samdo followed by Larkya Phedi and Dharmasala. After passing through Dharmasala, we begin our interesting parts of Manaslu circuit trek to climb Larkya-La Pass (5,106 m) to see the view stunning panoramic view of Mountain around you as well eventually reaching Bhimthang then to Gho. Further, moving to Dharapani we pass through fields and villages, following the Annapurna Circuit trek in another hand. Finally, we drive back via Besisahar to capital city Kathmandu.

Manaslu Curcuit is controlled area trek as well as government regulated issue is required so that trekking in Manaslu region is only possible with government register trekking agencies and requires of at least two people for trekking. Outline Itinerary

Day 01:  Arrivel Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) 

Day 02:  Kathmandu valley Private sightseeing tour and trek preparation.

Day 03:   Kathmandu – Arughat (670m/2,198 ft) – Soti Khola (710m/2,330ft) 135km, 8-9 hrs drive. 

Day 04:  Soti Khola – Machha Khola (890m/2,920ft), 14km, 6-7 hrs.

Day 05:  Machha Khola – Dobhan (1,000m/3,280ft) 11km, 6-7 hrs. 

Day 06:  Dobhan – Philim (1,590m/5,216ft) 10km, 6-7 hrs.

Day 07:  Philim – Lokpa (2,240m/7,350ft) 10km, 6-7 hrs. 

Day 08:  Deng – Namrung (2,660m/8,725ft) 12km, 6-7 hrs.

Day 09:  Namrung – Lho (3,180m/10,430ft) 4km, 3-4hrs.

Day 10:  Lho – Sama Gaon (3,530m/11,578ft) 8km, 5-6 hrs.

Day 11:  Sama: Rest and exploration day: Birendra Tal / Pungyen Gompa / Manaslu Base Camp.

Day 12:  Sama – Samdo (3,860m/12,660ft), 8km, 3-4 hrs. 

Day 13:  Samdo – Larkya Phedi/Dharamsala (4,460m/14,628ft) 7km, 3-5 hrs. 

Day 14:  Dharamsala – Larkya La (5,160m/16,930ft) – Bimthang (3,720m/12,201ft), 12km, 7-9 hrs. 

Day 15:  Bimthang – Gho (2,515m/8,250ft, 12km, 5-6 hrs.

Day 16:  Gho– Dharapani (1,920m/6,300ft)) 8km, 3-4 hrs.

Day 17:  Dharapani- Besi Sahar (760m/2,495ft) – Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) 190km 7-10hrs drive.

Day 18:  Final departure.

Day 01: Arrive in International Airport in Kathmandu, we pick you up from the airport to the hotel. You will be briefed about your tour to Manaslu Circuit Trek. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: This day we spend some time  for trek perpetration  and then  meet our expert guide. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Early morning we drive towards Arughat Bazaar (550m) through Dhading exploring beautiful Nepalese countryside and surrounding areas near Arughat bazar. Overnight at camp near Budi Gandaki River.

Day 04: Walking through Gurung, Magar and Newar village, we will follow the source of Budi Gandaki River. We can observe beautiful waterfalls, fields, wet rice, maize and millet on the way to Arkhet Bazzar. We continue our journey to Soti Khola (710m) through the way of Kurepani. Stay overnight at lodge in Soti Khola.

Day 05: Today we walk about six hours through sal forest to Labubensi then we follow Budigandaki River to reach Khanibesin and continue upriver towards Machha Khola (869m). Stay overnight at lodge in Machha Khola.

Day 06: We trek forward through Gurung village to reach Khorla Bensi then walking further forward we reach Tatopani. Observing hot water springs on the way we reach Dovan on the way to Jagat (1400m). Stay overnight at lodge in Jagat.

Day 07: Our mission today is to reach Pewa (1750m). We trek through Sirdibas, Philim, Kele Bhatti and Nyak to reach Pewa. On the way we cross many suspension bridges and observe the natural beauty around. Stay overnight at lodge in Pewa.

Day 08: Through pine forest and Budigandaki river we follow treak to reach Deng, Rana, Bihi Phedi and finally to Ghap (2165m). Overnight at lodge in Ghap.

Day 09: We pass walking Namrung and Lihi to reach Lho (3180m). Rhododendron, variety of birds, wooden bridges, river bank and excellent view of Mt. Manaslu are the attractions on route. Stay overnight at lodge in Lho.

Day 10: A short trek through Syala to Samagaun (3525m) and the remaining day for refreshment, acclimatize and enjoy. Overnight at lodge in Samagaun.

Day 11: Today is the rest day in Samagaun. You can visit and enjoy the natural beauty of the places around. Overnight at lodge in Samagaun.

Day 12: Walking through yak pastures, Mt. Manaslu glaciers and broad valley we reach Samdo (3875m). On the way we can observe pure natural beauty, yak pastures, wooden bridges above Budi Gandaki River etc. Overnight at lodge in Samdo.

Day 13: We follow the circuit to Laryke Bazar and to Dharmasala (4460m). On the way we pass through Larky Glacier coming from Mt. Manaslu. Stay overnight at lodge in Dharmasala.

Day 14: Today we climb uphill to the Larkye Pass at the height of 5160m height and then we reach Bimthang (3590m). We trek through frozen lakes, stunning landscape and beautiful valley. Stay overnight at lodge in Bimthang.

Day 15: After descending from Bimthang we cross Kechakyu Khola Glacier and rhododendron forest to reach Yak Kharka and moving forward the route we reach Gho and then Tilije Village (2300m). Stay overnight.

Day 16: We follow the trek route down to Dharapani through scrub forest and move forward to Tal and finally to Chamje (1430m). On the way down we join Annapurna Circuit trail on Dharapani. Stay overnight at lodge in Chamje.

Day 17: After breakfast, a jeep ride along the dusty and bumpy road to Besi Sahar and the paved road back to Kathmandu about 7 to 10 hours drive .Overnight in Kathmandu at 3 star Hotel with breakfast

Day 18: Final departure,Life Himalaya representative will bring you to the airport .
