Everest Base Camp on Heii flights, starts early morning from Kathmandu airport flying high above the valley and from the hustle-bustle city with ever present range of snow capped peaks views as the chopper swirls higher leading north east to land at Lukla for short break and refueling.
Here you can catch the traditional life and Buddhist culture of the Sherpa people the Highlanders of Khumbu and Everest area. Our adventure flight continues above rolling hills, valley and deep gorge to land at Gorakshep for breakfast with view of Everest and other giant peaks that surround this scenic spot Gorakshep, once a base camp in earlier mountaineering expeditions periods from 1950’s to 1970’s.
After breakfast a short tour of Everest base camp with views of tumbling boulders of ice and snow known as Khumbu Icefalls and glaciers, after a brief possible stop our heli flight tour leads back to Kathmandu offering grand views of snowcapped peaks with traditional Sherpa villages in the shade of Mt. Everest.
