Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world with the height of 8000m. Dhaulagiri Pass Trekking is one of the most challenging and adventurous trekking in the Himalayan region of Nepal.  Moving from the semi-tropical regions thick with ferns and forests, through hillsides ablaze with rhododendron, and into the alpine wilderness of snowcapped peaks and glaciers. Dhaulagiri Pass Trekking is a tough, yet spectacular trek surrounded by the colossal peaks of Dhaulagiri. Myagdi Glacier, Dhaulagiri Base camp (4750m), French Pass (5360m) (highest point of the trek) including the several peaks such as Putali Himal and Tukuche Peak gives an excellent view of Dhaulagiri range.

Dhaulagiri base camp trekking begins at Beni. Dhaulagiri Pass Trekking passes through beautiful village of Darbang, Muri, Chariban, Italian base camp, Dhaulagiri base camp , French pass, Dhumpus pass and finally reach at Marpha assemble of Annapurna circuit trekking trail. Dhaulagiri base camp trekking is relatively strenuous and requires high altitude trekking experience in Nepal Himalaya. March, April, September, October & November are best month for Dhaulagiri circuit trek.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu tour.

Day 03: Drive to Beni.

Day 04: Trek through Simalchour to Babichour.

Day 05: Trek from Babichour to Dharapani.

Day 06: Path to Muri village.

Day 07: Trek from Muri village to Boghara.

Day 08: Trek from Boghara to Dobang.

Day 09: Trek from Dobang to Choriban Khola.

Day 10: Trek to Italian Base Camp.

Day 11: Acclimatization and rest day.

Day 12: Trek to Glacier Camp.

Day 13: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base camp.

Day 14: Rest day.

Day 15: Trek through French Pass to Yak Kharka.

Day 16: Trek from the Hidden Valley to Dhampus.

Day 17: Trek from Dhampus to Jomsom.

Day 18: Flight for Pokhara.

Day 19: Back to Kathmandu.

Day 20: Final Departure.

Day 01: Today you will arrive at international airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival we will assist you to your hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Today we will attend pre tour meeting and visit the places of historical and cultural importance in Kathmandu. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Today we drive to Beni early in the morning. We enjoy the countryside scenery and pass through beautiful lake city Pokhara. Stay overnight at Beni.

Day 04: Today we trek our trail through the banks of Kali Gandaki River and Myagdi Khola and crossing them to reach Simalchour. Then we head forward the route to reach Babichor (950m). Stay overnight at Guest house.

Day 05: Today passing through wide valley, terraced field, crossing rivers, naturally gifted landscape and cultural villages we reach Dharapani (1,400m). Stay overnight at guest house.

Day 06: Today we walk through river bank switching it many times. We climb up the rocky trail through many small settlements and beautiful landscape to reach the Muri village (1,850m). Stay overnight at guest house.

Day 07: Today we pass through stream, traced field and many bridges to reach Boghara. On the way we can enjoy the views of Mt, Ghustang (6,465m). Stay overnight at guest house.

Day 08: Today the trail leads through terraced field and forest to remote settlements. Continuing uphill further on a rocky trail we reach Dobang (2,520m). Stay overnight at guest house.

Day 09: Crossing wooden bridge and scattered forest we ascend the trail enjoying the views of Dhaulagiri I (8,167m) to reach Choriban Khola (3,110m). Stay overnight at guest house.

Day 10: Today we trek to Italian Base Camp through the glacial trail (3,660m). Great views of mountains like Dhaulagiri I (8,167m), Dhaulagiri II (7,751m), Dhaulagiri III (7,715m) and Dhaulagiri V (7,618m). Stay overnight at camp.

Day 11: Today is much needed acclimatization and rest day. We explore and visit the places around Italian base camp enjoying the great views of mountains around. Stay overnight at camp.

Day 12: Today we trek through stone fall prone trail, narrow gorge to and glaciers to reach Glacier camp. Stay overnight at camp in glacier camp.

Day 13: Today is most adventurous day of our trek. We trek to the Dhaulagiri base camp today. We will be pleased with the views of impressive Dhaulagiri I (8,167m), Dhaulagiri II (7,751m), Dhaulagiri III (7,715m) and Dhaulagiri V (7,618m).

Day 14: Today is another day to take some rest and more importantly, acclimatize to the lower air pressure. Views from this place are superb and there is plenty to explore. Overnight at tented camps.

Day 15: Today we cross the glacier and terraced hills to reach French Pass (5,360m). You will be able to see Mukut Himal (6,328m), Tashi Kang (6,386m) and Sita Chuchura (6,611m), all of which surround the Hidden Valley. Then we continue towards Hidden Valley (5,200m). Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 16: Today we descend from the Hidden Valley to the Dhampus Pass (5,200m) and continue to Yak Kharka (3,680m). There is a perfect camp site to enjoy the surroundings. Overnight at tented camps.

Day 17: Today we trek down the trail through small vilages and natural landscape to reach the famous apple farming village called Marpha. Then we descend down the route to reach Jomsom (2,710m). Stay overnight at Guest house.

Day 18: Today we take a scenic and mountain flight of thirty minutes early in the morning to reach Pokhara. We utilize our rest of the day sightseeing around Pokhara. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 19: Today we drive early in the morning to reach Kathmandu. We travel through beautiful Nepali countryside and natural landscape. Late in the evening you will attend farewell dinner. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 20: Today is your last day here in Nepal. We will assist you the airport prior to your flight.
